Manuscript in a mess? Untangle your book with a full structural edit.
Have you already written a book, or part of one, but now feel you need some serious help to get it into shape?
Do you wonder if your chapters are in the right order, whether your book follows a logical progression or if it even makes sense?
If so, structural editing is for you.
I have restructured hundreds of draft manuscripts to turn them into publishable books. No matter where you are with your book – even if it isn’t finished – I can develop, restructure and rewrite it to make it great. Send me your work and I will return to you a well-structured, well-written and inspiring book for your reader.
Most editors offer copy editing and structural editing as separate services. However, I combine these two skills, going deep into the foundations of your book and improving the writing style at the same time.
Here’s how it works:
- Having looked over a sample of your existing manuscript, I will arrange a face-to-face meeting or conference call to discuss your goals for your book, specific aspects you are worried about and what you’d like to improve. We will then agree a deadline for the structural edit and you will send me the full document.
- On completion of the edit, I provide you with a fully marked-up and tracked Word document of your manuscript as well as two to three pages of notes that explain my suggested changes.
- I will then arrange a second meeting or conference call with you to discuss my suggestions and any revisions we feel are necessary.
Fees: from £40 per 1000 words depending on how much rewriting is involved. Revisions charged at £50 per hour.
I offer a FREE consultation and first look at all editorial work. To talk to me about your book, please complete the form below.
